In short:
- Every used engine and transmission includes a 90-day parts warranty.
- Extended coverage of up to 180 days can be bought when you place your order.
- The warranty covers internal mechanical failure of the part we supplied. Labor, fluids, towing and shipping are not covered.
- The part must be installed by a licensed repair shop, and you must contact us before removing or returning anything.
1. Warranty period
The standard warranty lasts 90 days from the date the part is delivered. If you buy extended coverage, the length shown on your invoice applies instead, up to a maximum of 180 days. Coverage applies to the original purchaser and the vehicle the part was bought for, and cannot be transferred.
2. What is covered
| Item | Covered? |
|---|---|
| Internal mechanical failure of the engine or transmission as supplied (for example, the block, heads, crankshaft, pistons, gears, clutches or torque converter) | Yes |
| Replacement with the same or an equivalent part | Yes |
| Refund of the part price if no replacement is available | Yes |
| Labor to remove or reinstall the part | No |
| Fluids, filters, gaskets, seals and other consumables | No |
| Towing, rental vehicles, diagnostic fees or lost time | No |
| Shipping the defective part back to us | No |
External bolt-on accessories that come with the unit, such as sensors, alternators, starters, pumps, manifolds, wiring and plastic covers, are provided as a courtesy. They are not covered by the warranty.
3. Installation and maintenance requirements
To keep your warranty valid:
- The part must be installed by a licensed or certified automotive repair facility. Keep the itemized installation invoice.
- New gaskets, seals and filters (and timing components where applicable) must be used at installation.
- The cooling system, radiator and transmission cooler lines must be flushed or replaced as needed. Correct manufacturer-specified fluids must be used and kept at proper levels.
- For transmissions: the torque converter must be fully seated and the correct fluid type used. This is especially important for CVT and DCT units.
- The vehicle must be maintained normally during the warranty period, including oil changes and fluid checks.
- The part must not be modified, disassembled or used for racing, off-road competition or commercial towing above its rated capacity.
4. What is not covered
- Failure caused by incorrect installation, overheating, lack of lubrication, contaminated or incorrect fluids, or a failure in another vehicle system.
- Parts installed in a vehicle other than the one quoted, or supplied based on incorrect vehicle information or VIN.
- Minor oil seepage, cosmetic wear, surface rust and other normal signs of a used part.
- Parts that have been disassembled, modified or tampered with, or whose identification marks have been removed.
- Damage from accidents, flooding, fire, misuse or neglect.
- Claims reported after the warranty period ends.
5. How to make a warranty claim
- Stop driving the vehicle and contact us right away by phone at (877) 877-7365 or by email at hello@usaenginez.com. Have your order number and VIN ready.
- Do not remove or return the part until we’ve reviewed your claim and approved it in writing.
- Send us your installation invoice, a written diagnosis from a licensed mechanic, the vehicle’s current mileage, and photos or video of the issue.
- We review complete claims within 3 business days. If we approve your claim, we’ll send a replacement part or, if none is available, refund the part price to your original payment method.
- We may ask you to return the defective part for inspection, using the return authorization we provide.
6. Limitation of liability
This warranty is your exclusive remedy. Our total liability is limited to the purchase price of the part. We are not responsible for incidental or consequential damages, to the extent permitted by law. Some states do not allow limits on incidental or consequential damages, so these limits may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
